Leo Triplet (NGC 3628, M65, M66) - 20 April 2009
This is the first light through astrographic telescope (made by Mr. Drbohlav) with diameter 220mm. Leo Triplet was chosen for testing. This is the result.
A good night, a new astrographic telescope prepared on the mount and cooled up CCD camera – all was ready for testing. Mr. Murin and I decided to test it on the Leo Triplet. After focusing we started. The optic of the astrographic telescope is perfect.
Leo Triplet consists of tree galaxies – NGC 3628, M65 and M66. Distance from our planet is about 35 million light years.
