I overslept the last time (I am still mad at myself...), so I set 3 alarms for this occultation. I woke up and the asteroidal occultation was successful.

It was finally nice for a few days. After several failed attempts, I had a positive occultation. And again with diffraction. It is fantastic when theoretical physics matches observations.

So, another positive one during this night. A double at the beginning of the year it is an excellent start.

This first positive asteroidal occulation of this year. A bright star, good observation conditions allowed for a very short exposure time during capturing. This was crucial for recording the beautiful diffractions.

The occultation of a star by asteroid Menzel - 13 December 2022
After a month, it was finally nice one night and it happened - a positive occultation of asteroid Menzel. It is my 60th positive asteroidal occultation.
