The occultation of a star by asteroid Holda - 20 January 2024

This year it was the first planetary occultation. Quite a weak star, but the conditions were excellent. Duration of occultation was over 6s.

Today I have an observation of the occultation by asteroid "1998 CC1".

I did well tonight. Second positive occultation. A clear drop with a bright star. This time it was about the asteroid Ino.

This cover is exceptional. It is double. Two drops were caught. Either it is a double body or it is the surface irregularities of one body.

Tonight was pure and beautiful dark. I managed to capture an asteroidal occultation before dawn. Bright star, big drop. Like from a textbook.
